Congratulations to our very own Joshua Ault (second from the right) on his Associated Builders and Contractors XYZ (Young Professional) 2017 Rising Star of the Year Finalist Award from ABC Metro Washington Chapter.
This award recognizes the accomplishments of outstanding young professionals for their active participation with ABC, involvement in supporting political advocacy efforts and their commitment to making the industry stronger.
“This is a huge honor for me,” said Josh. “I truly understand the meaning of #ABCPROUD and will continue to support ABC in as many ways as I can. When I was selected as a finalist, I was ecstatic to hear my name called! It is hard to find the words to describe what it meant to me to stand in front of my peers, with two of my closest ABC friends and the Chairmen of both the ABC and the ABC XYZ Committees, and be recognized by fellow members and industry icons. The word “proud” feels to fit best.”
Josh joined ABC Metro Washington’s Craft Training Committee in 2016 to help apprentice-level workers gain their journeyman licenses, giving them the tools to be successful and excel in the industry. The committee ensures that all educational programs have a positive and measurable effect on the students. “Coming from a construction background, I understand how important this is to the future of our industry,” said Josh. He is also a Safety Judge for their local ABC Apprenticeship Competition.
Josh attends as many ABC events as he possibly can as he respects their educational value and the relationships that he has formed with leaders in the construction industry. Next month, he will be joining ABC Metro Washington’s Membership Committee.
