Tell us how many skilled workers you need and what trade

Associated Builders and Contractors’ Craft Professional of the Year award honors Merit Shop’s most outstanding craft employee. It highlights an individual’s achievements and their daily commitment to safety, productivity, ingenuity and leadership.

Employee Win!

When you nominate your employee, it’s a huge win for them, whether they become a finalist or are awarded the ultimate prize. They learn how much you appreciate their skills and contribution to the success of your company. It’s a rewarding feeling that will remain with them forever.

Employer Win!

It will also be a huge win for your company having the ability to say, “Out of millions of construction workers across America, my employee is one of five finalists for the construction industry’s most coveted award.”

If they are named the 2020 Craft Professional of the Year, just imagine the added credibility it will give your company. The national publicity it will afford you. And, how gratifying it will be to introduce, to clients and prospects, your employee who is “America’s top craft professional.”

The winner will receive a check for $10,000, provided by Tradesmen International and NCCER, on stage at the 2020 ABC National Convention in Nashville, TN.

Think for a minute—who on your team should you recognize? Now, go do it!

Craft Professional of the Year Nomination Is Easy!

Nominees must hold a journey-level designation and be employed by an ABC Member Firm. All applications will be judged by an ABC National panel that will choose finalists and ultimately, the 2020 Craft Professional of the Year. Supervisory personnel, who lead craftspeople in the daily use of tools, are eligible for nomination.

The winner earns an invite, hotel accommodations and one paid round-trip ticket to ABC Convention 2020 in Nashville, March 23-27, 2020. All finalists and nominating firms are mentioned at the esteemed Careers in Construction Awards Ceremony on March 26, 2020.
